Week 2 - Player Damage
New Features: Player Damage, Player Death, Bug Fixes
This week has been a little slow as week 1 as I've been occupied with some uni assignments, however I have been able to implement a damage system where players take varying amounts of damage depending on where they've been shots and player death. I also meant to implement win conditions but at the moment it's a little buggy. Besides from that, here's a quick gif to show the damage/death in action:
There is also another bug at the moment where you can kill the opponent by shooting yourself, but I believe that will be easy to fix.
This week I got some more great feedback suggesting a health bar for the players, but I still not sure how much information I want the players to have. I'll mess around with different ways to show who's winning in the future.
Next week I plan on fixing the win conditions and some others bugs as well as implementing some borders for the level. I also plan on having a larger level and a camera that zooms in and out depending on how far away the players are from each other. See you next week!
